Hardpoint Guide Part 2

Welcome to part 2 of our Hardpoint guide. In part one we explained the basic objective of the hardpoint game mode as well as introduced a few successful classes that we used while playing this objective. Part 2 will be more of the fun, down and dirty, hardpoint gameplay tips. This guide will help you score more points per minute, which in turn will help you level faster.

Hardpoint Guide Part 2

***Most Important tip is Tip #1. Head here for the locations and rotations.

***Tip #1: Learn the locations and rotation of the hardpoints.  This is the most important thing to do when first playing hardpoint. You need to learn these rotations  so that when the hardpoint is about to change you can go ahead and proceed to the point that is spawning next. If you are in the new hardpoint as it changes over you will receive bonus points in the form of the forward position medals. These medals are 250xp each + the hardpoint secure medal 100xp. These equals 350xp extra for every forward position you make. Use this to your advantage.

Tip #2: Tactical Insertions. These babies are awesome for hardpoint. If the other team has control of the hardpoint try and place your tactical insertion somewhere close. This way you can keep rushing the hardpoint. Using tactical insertions and c4 is a great way to clear objectives.

Tip #3: c4! C4 is awesome. It is great at clearing objectives.  Throw it into an objective area and you will most likely get at least one kill.

Tip #4: When defending a hardpoint try and use cover. Head glitch is what a lot of people call it. Also, when defending an objective you do not need to be on it. There are many hardpoints in which you can defend without being in the hardpoint. This leads to some fun strategies. Such as while defending if you see a solo enemy player about to capture the hard point you should let him; then after he has captured it kill him and quickly take back the hardpoint. Repeat this often in a game and you will see your score sky rocket. This is also a great way to get some really high score streaks!

Tip #5: If you are being held back by snipers or target finders. Then you should use the 'Help I need Cover!' class that I recommended in part one. Throw the smoke and use your dual band to see the people camping the hardpoint and mow them down. This is also useful for defending in some situations!

Tip #6: Use a class with lightweight, marathon, and extreme conditioning at the very beginning. This ensures that you will have a decent chance at capturing the first hardpoint.

Tip #7: Guardians and Sentry Guns are great ways to hold down hardpoints. Use this knowledge to your advantage.

Tip #8: Sensor Balls. Rarely used. However, they are a powerful tool if used correctly. If you don't know where people are hiding in a hardpoint try tossing one or two of these. They will reveal the enemy position on your mini-map much like the Orbital VSAT does.

Tip #9: This goes for any game type, but you should always have a class that carries EMP Grenades and the FHJ-18AA. Preferably running blind eye and coldblooded. This is to take care of the pesky score streaks the other team might have. Destroying these not only helps your team, but also earns you extra XP!

Tip #10: LEARN THE LOCATION AND ROATATION! Part 3 of the guide will be maps of the hardpoint locations as well as  the rotations.

Part 3 of the hardpoint guide should be released soon.
